LONG BIO: (~300 words)

As an artist, she specializes in content for speculative fiction publications and promotional material for authors. Her work has been included in multiple anthologies and gallery shows, and she exhibits regularly at conventions. She won the inaugural 2020 Ignyte award for Best Artist and has been nominated four times for the Hugo Award for Best Fan Artist.

As a writer, her style combines soft moments with harsh-edged truths. Her stories explore the lives of people living in worlds not built for them, using magic and transformation as metaphors for feminist and Asian-American themes. Her first prose work, "For Want of Milk" was recently published in Uncanny Magazine. Her next piece, “Girl Oil” won second-place in the 2022 Levar Burton Reads short fiction contest. She has forthcoming work in Apex and Uncanny Magazines in 2023.

Currently, she works as a Narrative Designer at Singularity 6 on Palia, a cozy lifesime MMO, and an occasional instructor for Clarion West. Previously, she worked at Wizards of the Coast on Magic: The Gathering, contributing to Innistrad: Midnight Hunt/Crimson VowKamigawa: Neon DynastyNew Phyrexia: All Will Be One, and Final Fantasy x MTG.

Prior to that, she gained ten years of experience as a Senior Technical Artist on blockbuster movies and AAA games, including Kung Fu Panda 2, The Croods, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and FIFA 2020. She has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Graphics and Game Technology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Her loves include history, science, cooking, and travel. She has been to all seven continents, and the only US state she has never visted is Hawaii. Having grown up in Philadelphia and cut her teeth in Los Angeles, she is a die-hard fan of soft pretzels and animal fries. She is not actually a cat but certainly would love to be one.
